Forest Hills Golf Club

Moscow Region |2018

The main attractions of the site are its striking topography, picturesque river, and the beauty of the golf course. To make the most of them, our team envisioned an axial composition of four buildings, both semicircular and rectangular in plan, cascading down into the valley with terraced levels. The composition unfolds from the upper elevation where the main entrance to the complex is located. Passing beneath a delicate pergola, visitors are led into a grand, multi-level courtyard that connects to the hotel.

The roofs of the buildings play a crucial role in the design as an important part of the architecture. They can be accessed from the courtyard through open staircases. The roof of the hotel, in particular, serves as the main recreational area, with pergolas creating public and private spaces that offer scenic views. The volumetric and spatial solution helps to create a representation of Italian countryside architecture from various historical periods, adapted to the local landscape. The architectural aesthetic is defined by a striking contrast of pristine white walls, natural stone, green shutters, and gray-blue glass.
