The sports complex is located in the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo district, on the territory of the former airfield. It includes residential buildings, sports facilities, and a business park.Chkalov Arena is divided into three main blocks: two ice arenas that equipped with a hockey training center, a rhythmic gymnastics center, and a fencing center, which allows daily training and competitions in several sports at the same timeOur team joined the project at the start of construction. Along with the development of work-shop drawings, we faced the task of rethinking the concept of the facades and hiding the fragmentation of the composition. Two main techniques — lamellas and perforated panels — helped to identify the dynamics of the building and emphasize the sports function of the complex, without destroying its integrity.
